This blog is a short one because I know that your time is valuable (and mine has been limited). I hope that the message below finds you well and that you find depth in the brevity. As always, if you need anything at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out (here’s my cell).

You won’t always feel your best.

There are very few days that any of us wake up and feel 10/10. The truth is that life is hard, life is unpredictable and life is exhausting. While factors outside of our immediate control make it that we might not always feel our best, we don’t have to let that stop us from controlling what we can to give our best.

You can always choose to give your best.

Each morning when we open our eyes, we’re faced with a series of decisions and as much as we don’t like to take ownership, the truth is that each decision is 100% within our control. Despite the circumstances that we might find ourselves in, we can always choose our attitude and decide to give our best effort.

Perspective is everything.

How we see the world shapes how we interact with it. In other words, we have to believe that there’s value in giving our best effort even when we don’t feel like it. While reasoning differs between people, I choose to give my best each day because I know that my choices today shape who I become tomorrow and that person will go on to impact those close to me and those I haven’t met yet. I feel like I owe it to myself and to others to be the best that I can be. What is it that drives you to give your best?

That’s it for this week’s blog – I hope that it resonated on a deep level and if not, I hope it at least made you think about what giving your best effort looks like today. Like usual, let’s land this one with a quote.

“People pretend not to like grapes when the vines are too high for them to reach.”

Marguerite de Navarre

Give your best.
