I’ll be honest, this past year has been a whirlwind full of some great things! It started off with an unfortunate case of COVID followed with a challenging season of house hunting. We celebrated two years of marriage, I turned 28, coauthored a published book, and celebrated one year since quitting my job to build Project Endure. With persistence, we bought our first house and worked hard to make it a home. I became a BPN athlete, I became a Lululemon ambassador, I started a run streak and ran the New York City Marathon. We held our first in-person event for Project Endure and it was a blast. I wrote a blog every week, I hit 100+ consecutive weeks of the newsletter, I supported a client who broke two world records, I did 1,323 push ups in an hour and oh, we became dog parents. Through this all, I put out a lot of content and grew the business that I’m building while leaning on others to help me do so.

This year I ended up sacrificing time spent in deep thought for time spent taking consistent action. It’s been hard for me to find the bandwidth to reflect and so this blog is hard for me to write. The one lesson that I want to share as we start another year is this: our perspective is what determines the direction of our lives. It’s a bold statement that I hold to be truth and I hope that you do too. Quick side note: the cover photo for this blog is from our honeymoon trip to Maui and I chose it because it’s a reminder that time is precious and memories are powerful – I want more memories in 2023.

To end this short blog, let me share the mantras that I’m walking into 2023 with.

2023 Mantras

Love God and love others.

Control the controllables.

Hard work, works.

Make adjustments, not excuses.

Always planted, never buried.

Be the reason someone smiles.

Do hard things.

The main focus for this year is reprioritizing time and making sure that focus blends well with action. I know that 2023 is going to be another hectic year and I’m determined to make it another great one! If there’s any way that I can help you do the same, please don’t hesitate to reach out! Let me share a quote to start things off right!

“All endings are also beginnings. We just don’t know it at the time.”

Mitch Albom
