Memento Mori: Choosing Gratitude

November 24, 2021 rinaldijoe5 Comments

This is the talk that I delivered to a group of middle schoolers about life, death and hard things that happen while we're here. This is a Thanksgiving message everyone could use.

Perfect texture for running. Trees don't fall all of a sudden for no reason. The carpenter's hands were smooth before the first house was built. This life is bigger than you. Comfort is a slow death. "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." - Mark Twain
