This was one of the hardest things I've ever have to do, but I know that there is good that will come out of it.

I don't talk about it often because to me it's just a normal part of life but for those of you who don't know, I have a genetic condition [Best Disease] that causes progressive loss of sight. From childhood through adulthood, it's been a roller coaster experience. The path toward blindness had been full of highs, lows, lots of lessons and so much growth. It's bigger than you. It's not rhetorical ⬆️ “It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.” - Theodore Roosevelt Yes, I woke up at 4:00 AM to prepare for a Monday morn my long run starting at 4:50 AM because I needed to be done at 8:00 AM to eat, shower and start working. We are drawn to what's familiar because the things we know are comfortable.
