I couldn't shift gears, but I could shift perspective.
This isn't what I signed up for, but at the same time, it is. Whether an Ironman 70.3 or COVID-19, struggle is struggle and that is where strength is found.
This was one of the hardest things I've ever have to do, but I know that there is good that will come out of it.
This is the struggle that I so often claim to love. It's coming in a different form than I'm used to, but it's struggle nonetheless so I'm going to embrace it and grow through it.
This blog is about the collective decision that we must make as a society and how that decision is similar to the individual ones that we make on a minute-to-minute basis each and every day.
The slower pace gives me space to think and I vacillate between feelings. Part of me is comforted. It tells me that everything will be back to normal in due time. However, the other part of me feels worried. It tells me that the world might never be the same.
Patients don’t seek physical therapy because they are in pain. Patients seek physical therapy because their pain is interfering with who they are.
