The goal of this blog has been, currently is and will always be about adding value. With that being said, this blog is about a not so serious topic that I’ve extrapolated to represent an important message.
This blog is about flipping eggs and enthusiastic failure.

I can’t tell you how it started, but over the past few months, I’ve been flipping eggs and I’ve been loving it. With repetition, repeated failure (many eggs have hit this kitchen floor… sorry Michaela), and gradual increases in risk, I’ve gotten to the point where I can’t help but draw a parallel between eggs and more important things (I’m a thinker, I can’t help it).
I know that egg flips aren’t all that important, but the task is irrelevant and interchangeable to the bigger idea.

If you want to succeed at anything, you have to be willing to suck at it first. The people who can separate failure from their identity are the ones who can take it in stride and move on with a smile. It’s intentional, consistent repetition that creates competence and at the end of the day, you are not defined by your failures (or your successes). You are forged through the process and your self worth is not tied to outcomes unless you let it. This egg flip is in homage to all of the ones that didn’t go so well before it. This blog is a simple reminder to use failures as what they are; stepping stones toward something bigger.
